Me and my wife had gotten married in our mid 20′s and everything seemed great for the first 10 years. I didn’t seem to notice any problems with our marriage. Maybe I was a lousy husband, but I was wasn’t aware of the problems that had been slowing growing.

I honestly had no idea what went wrong. And to make matters worse, she wouldn’t tell me! You know how women are – sometimes they just won’t say what you did because they expect you to know. Makes perfect sense right?? Freaken women…
Anyways, I slipped into a deep depression for the first couple of months. I was missing work 2-3 days per week, my social life was non-existent and my friends were getting worried about me. I think I read through the entire book in one sitting. I couldn’t believe how stupid I had been since the separation. ”Was I really being this creepy? Almost stalkerish? ” Those were the thoughts going through my head. It was a complete shocker and the author really whipped my butt by giving me some tough love which I really needed.
I especially liked how real the author is. He tells it how it is because he went through a separation with his long-term girlfriend. There’s no fluff and filler about it in anyway. He’s very knowledgeable in relationships and crafted a great guide to help men get their ex back.
One of the big turning points for me was the idea that you have got to give your girl space once you separate. I was doing the opposite, being anxious and desperate. I should have been taking my time to improve who I am as a person while giving her space. Women need space at times and it’s best to let them have it after a break.
This is no joke – a couple of weeks after going through the book and applying the information I had learned, I was sitting down with my wife over a cup of coffee for the first time since breaking up. Just 2 weeks!
Everything improved from that point forward. We started seeing each other more and more week after week. She would tell me how she loved the “new me” and how she hadn’t seen me in this way since we were first married. Hearing her say that to me confirmed that I really did make some changes for the better.
We’re back together now happier than we have been in years and I can’t wait to see what the future unfolds for us!
